Here are a few fun, Fall images taken this weekend in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Each image is taken in the macro setting and using a macro wide screen lens. I believe we arrived in the park a week or two late to catch the autumn leaves on the trees but it was en enjoyable day trip just the same. I will likely post more photos from this trip to the Smoky Mountains soon.

Krutch Park in Downtown Knoxville
Krutch Park in Downtown Knoxville Tennessee offers a slice of relaxing nature, as well as, a few sculptures which range from modern abstracts to traditional statues. The Park was made possible through a donation made in 1981 by the estate of Charles Krutch who held the position of Director of Photography for many years at TVA. This photo shows the simple beauty of the small stream which winds through the Downtown Knoxville Park.

The Tennessee Theater on Gay Street in Downtown Knoxville
The historic Tennessee Theater in Downtown Knoxville has been an entertainment destination in Downtown Knoxville since 1928. In this photo looking north on Gay Street you can see the easily recognizable vertical sign as well as a promotional banner from the East Tennessee Historic Center.

A photo of West Town Mall
West Town Mall may be the shopping Mecca of Knoxville. Although malls are often not the most beautiful structures in the city, this photo captures an attractive entrance on the East Side of the building. West Town Mall is situated at the corner of Kinston Pike and Morrell Road in West Knoxville and offers year round shopping for those inclined to spend some money as well as a hang out for Knoxville teens.

A photo of the Smoky Mountains National Park taken from the Foothills Parkway
The Foothills Parkway is one of many great ways to take in the Great Smoky Mountains. Once at the top of the mountain there are many great places to stop and enjoy great views of Mountainous terrain or the great expance of the Tennessee Valley far below.
